The fabric is soft and fluffy, but very thin compared to my usual fleece blankets; these tend to roll up into a rope in the washing machine, so careful to unroll them before you load it in the dryer if you use one.
The design is really cute, but it's only dyed on the surface, you can see the white "roots" when spreading the fluff. I'll be careful washing it, i really like it despite the rather mild quality of the fabric.
